Washington Center Summer Repairs

The Washington Center for the Performing Arts, South Puget Sound’s largest performing arts facility, will be closed to the public for a portion of the summer, upgrading its heating and cooling system. A portion of the system responsible for patron comfort failed last summer in the building owned by the City of Olympia. “The work planned for this summer will result in a fully operational system that can be operated easily and efficiently.” Said Fran Eide, City Engineer. She also expected a smooth project, stating most of the work will occur within the building. Washington Street will see minimal impact, and the City of Olympia has promised there will not be any long term street or parking closures.
