The Washington Center gallery has been proud host to many artists and artist’s guilds since the Center’s inception. The space has offered several artists and curators the opportunity to bring visual arts to the community over the years.

Our Town – Snapshots of Olympia’s Heritage
The Washington Center is proud to present Our Town – Snapshots of Olympia’s Heritage exhibit January 12 through March 19. This is a collaborative exhibit featuring eight paintings titled Sylvester’s Window by Robert Chamberlain. The paintings depict historic scenes of Olympia from 1841-2001 from the perspective of Sylvester Park down Capital Way to the Port of Olympia.
Accompanying each of the paintings will be an additional historic display of archival photos and artifacts. Olympia Arts and Heritage Alliance is collaborating with Olympia Fire Department, Squaxin Tribe, South Sound Maritime Alliance, Bigelow House Museum, Olympia Parks and other community organizations to provide an informative and engaging exhibit.
