SOGO Fall Concert

Welcome to the 20th season of Student Orchestras of Greater Olympia (SOGO). We have a lot in store for you as Maestro Cameron May presents inspirational programming all season long.
The Fall concert features Mussorgsky’s Night on Bald Mountain, Bizet’s L’Arlesienne Suite No. 2, and Brahms Hungarian Dance No. 5.
The Winter program includes two movements of Dvorak’s Symphony No. 9 (From the New World) and a 20th Century work by Florence Price titled Dances in the Canebrakes.
The Conservatory Orchestra will conclude the season in May by looking ahead to the 2020 Olympics with John Williams’ The Olympic Spirit, and all of SOGO will come together for a mass performance of Beethoven’s Ode to Joy, rounding out our Birthday Bash and joining orchestras around the world in marking Beethoven’s 250th birthday.
Also appearing: Brass Choir, Academy & Debut Orchestras.
Join us as we celebrate 20 amazing years of SOGO with lots of birthday cake and inspirational performances by over 125 young musicians.
