SOGO Spring Season Concert

Welcome to SOGO live and in person. This season we are CELEBRATING being together and bringing you talented young musicians from the South Sound area performing great works of orchestral literature.

The May concert under the direction of Maestro May will feature Rossini’s popular Overture to William Tell and an epic work by Alan Hovhaness titled Symphony No. 50, Mt. St. Helens. This work was programmed in the spring of 2020 for the 40th anniversary of the eruption of Mt. St. Helens, when COVID impacted our daily lives. In addition, violinist Camille McLean, a senior from the Conservatory Orchestra, will take center stage performing Romance in G by Johann Svendsen.

Also performing: Brass Choir, Greg Allison conductor and Liz Ward assistant conductor, Academy Orchestra, Greg Allison conductor, and the Debut Orchestra, conductors Dan Craig and Jordan Goldstein.
