SOGO Winter Season Concert

Welcome to SOGO live and in person. This season we are CELEBRATING being together and bringing you talented young musicians from the South Sound area performing great works of orchestral literature.

The March concert under the direction of Maestro May will feature Ballade in A minor by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor, a British composer of African descent, Berlioz’s Hungarian March, and Celebration Fanfare by Oregonian composer Kevin Walczyk. In addition, two senior musicians from the Conservatory Orchestra will take center stage, oboist Gabriel Ong and bassoonist Ryan Kapsandy, in Vivaldi’s Concerto in G for oboe, bassoon, and strings.

Also performing is the Brass Choir, directed by Greg Allison, and the Debut Orchestra with conductors Dan Craig and Jordan Goldstein.
