Olympia Dance Festival

The Olympia Dance Festival features fourteen local dance groups plus guest artist Xuan Cheng, Principal Dancer with Oregon Ballet Theatre. Dance styles represented include ballet, hip-hop, tap, ballroom, jazz, modern, Irish, Chinese, and Middle Eastern dance.

Guest Artist – Xuan Cheng

Xuan Cheng was born in Chen Zhou, Hu Nan Province of China. Currently a Principal ballerina with Oregon Ballet Theatre, Xuan previously danced with Montreal’s Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and Guangzhou Ballet in China. She has performed principal roles in Giselle, Cinderella, Swan Lake, Romeo & Juliet, and The Nutcracker, as well as contemporary works by William Forsythe, Nacho Duato, Nicolo Fonte, James Kudelka, and Trey McIntyre.
