Silent Film Series: Speedy and High & Dizzy

Two shorts from “The King of Daredevil Comedy” Harold Lloyd. Speedy (1928) sends Lloyd on a tour of New York City, featuring glimpses of Yankee Stadium, Coney Island, and Babe Ruth as himself. High and Dizzy (1920) finds our man getting tipsy on a then-illegal stockpile of liquor before making a daring rescue at dizzying heights. Our Silent Movie Series is a signature event at the Washington Center. We welcome people of all ages to step back in time and enjoy the sound and nostalgia.
