The Box Office at the Minneart Center opens 2 hours before ticketed events, and the telephone number and email remain the same.

What if I cannot attend an event and have already purchased tickets?
Please contact our Box Office at least 24 hours before the performance

The sooner we know about your problem, the sooner we can find a solution. For performances on a Sunday or a Monday, please contact the box office the preceding Saturday.


For Washington Center Season Events

Tickets for Washington Center Presented events may be exchanged to other Washington Center Presented event in advance by phone, or in person, subject to availability.

There is an exchange fee per ticket unless you are a member of our FRIENDS program.


For Artistic Partner & Rental Events

In general, tickets for Artistic Partner & Rental Events may be exchanged to another performance put on by the same organization. For example, tickets to a Masterwork’s production may be exchanged to other Masterworks productions but not to Washington Center or other Artistic Partner Events.

Please note that our Artistic Partners and Renters are entitled to set their own ticket exchange policy, which may differ from the general guidelines above. Always check with the Box Office before making plans.

All ticket purchases are considered final, and we do not issue refunds.
What do I do if I lost my tickets?

Contact the Box Office during regular business hours to recover lost tickets. A reissue fee of $4.00 per ticket will apply.

What discounts do you offer?

The following discounts may be offered for Washington Center Presented Events, but may not be available at some of our rental and Artistic Partner shows. To find out when the following discounts are available, please contact our box office.

Military / 10% off / Available to active, former, or reservist patrons and one dependent

Student Rush / $10 tickets / Only available the day of an event, if purchased in person at the Box Office. Available to all patrons 18 and younger or patrons of any age with valid student ID

Group Discount / 15% Off / Available to groups of 15 or more. Please contact the Box Office to coordinate a group ticket sale.

What is the Service Fee, and is it only charged online?

As part of our agreement with the City of Olympia to maintain the facility of the Washington Center, a Service Fee is attached to every ticket for events occurring at both the Washington Center & the Minnaert Center at South Puget Sound Community College. This fee is incurred on all tickets.

These fees go towards to our “Repair and Refresh” fund to maintain the areas of the building the City of Olympia is not contractually obligated to maintain. Fees for tickets at The Minnaert Center go into Operational Funds for the Washington Center’s Box Office in that facility.

Do you have any accessible accommodations ?

How do I redeem a voucher? What are "select Washington Center presented events?"

Washington Center vouchers can be redeemed after single tickets go on sale in August.

For information on vouchers for Artistic Partner or rental events please contact the box office or producing organization.

To redeem a voucher, please contact our box office staff. Vouchers can be redeemed over the phone or in person, and all vouchers must be turned in before tickets can be claimed. Vouchers are subject to ticket limits per show and per customer, and do not guarantee seating in any specific area, so be sure to redeem early for the best seats. Standard facility fees apply.

Do you have a lost and found?

Our facilities are thoroughly cleaned after each event, and we do maintain and lost and found. If you have lost and item, please contact our office staff during regular business hours.

My child is only 2 years old. Do they need a ticket?

Children age 2 and under do not need a ticket if they will be sitting on your lap. Children ages 3 and up will need a ticket in order to attend our events.

Other Policies
Inclement Weather

General policy at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts is that all events are held rain or shine, with the exception of severe/dangerous weather.

Events held at Kenneth J. Minnaert Center for the Arts are subject to school-wide closures. Decisions regarding college closures will normally be made by 5:30 am on the day in question and broadcasted shortly thereafter. Decisions regarding evening classes/events may be made later in the day and might not observe the same type of closures as daytime. The college closure information will be updated on the school website at 10:00am and at 3:00pm.

In case of cancellation, notifications will be provide as soon as possible via customer email, our website, and social media. This information will also contain details regarding ticketing options, which may include refunds, exchanges, reschedules, or tax-deductible donation options.

Security

Only event ticket holders are permitted into the theater during scheduled events. Only on-duty officers of the law may carry weapons in our theaters. Patrons may not bring weapons of any kind into our theaters, regardless of any licenses. This includes firearms. Please store weapons offsite in a secure location before entering theater premises.
